Does it apply for people who used AC-21?Do they need to go back to their filing employer after getting green card?
It is mandatory by law. Both side have to have a bona fide intention (for company - to hire, for employee - to work for) for EB GC. Employer proves its intent by filing I-140. Employee proves his/her intent by joining the employer. Each situation is unique, but in OP's situation, there is no bona fide intent to work for company Y. Therefore, it will be a fradulent GC which can be revoked. How OP is going to prove that he was going to join Y after GC is approved? AC21 allows for porting, but porting to company X will look fishy as well. If OP can get a letter from Y that position is no longer available, it may help. This being said, there is a possibility to get a GC without any issues.

3 days of active work or countless years of waiting....
you have vacation time, use it to get your green card faster.....
you have money, donate to the advocacy fund, or sponsor a friend.....
you are curious, but not sure what to do, decide now - time is running out.......
you have no idea what the advocacy is all about, ask a question here.....
Work to get the change you want instead of reacting to adverse immigration laws that affect you.....
Be pro-active rather than re-active.

Hello everyone,
My LC was filed in Perm process and even got approved but the hard copy got lost in mail handling. Can I have another LC filed from the same company? Furthermore, can I reuse my first LC's postings-advertisements that the company does before filing the LC?
Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

this is going to be very subjective. even though there is detail less black in the first one in the nect area i think it "looks" fine. in my opinion there is too much detail less black in the second one, that makes it "look" too dark. also the first one is sooo good there's not much you can do with the second one to bring it to that level. thx, kevin

Not True, We submitted the Birth Certificate obtained from Indian consulate here in US and One of the GC got approved recently. In my opinion the Birth Certificate from Indian Consulate is sufficient

You have a good suggestion but it only allows at the most 10 options :(
Due to PD movement, to track exact status of how many guys are "already in Que" and how many guys want to "join" the Que, we needs to have two more options e.g. -
- India PD current & I-485 already filed (guys already in Que)
- India PD current & I-485 NOT filed (guys want to Join the Que)
This will help to know how many guys are in que, how many VISA's are available (as per USCIS) and then we will have some "guess" work on how PD will move ahaead in upcoming months!!

By law: If you take Unemployment benefits => you have become public charge. If you become public charge => you broke AOS condition. Which requires you to be never be public charge. On top of that if you were still on H1b then that would have expired with you loosing your job. So that makes it a good case for removal proceedings if your case gets an audit (which is very likely).
Lookup a similar thread(removal proceedings) in IV.
Get legal help before making a decision like that.

But to be eligible for umeployment insurance benefit, you have to be a legal permanent resident or a citizen.

Note that you cannot legally be required to reimburse certain immigration fees such as the $1500 or $750 ACWIA fee. Also,you cannot legally be required to reimburse USCIS filing fees and/or immigration related legal fees which, when subtracted from your salary, bring your salary below the required LCA wage.

You can get extension tubes and/or a front lens attachment for close-up work with your 28-200. Close-up is so much fun, so get some cheap stuff (e.g., Kenko extension tubes) and start shooting! Don't worry about the quality of the equipment when starting out. You take great pictures with simple and cheap equipment. And consider flashing your 300D with the Russian hack to get mirror lockup. I haven't done it yet, but I am thinking about it. Hmm, might make for an interesting poll in the 300D forum....
