In Lion, many found out that the first option (which you could select Blue or Graphite in SL) is greyed out.
If you want to know why it's greyed out, just hover your cursor over the menu. A tooltip will appear with all the necessary information...
* The world is very big and it's much likely someone else found out before me. But in weeks, I noticed no-one mentioned it. Even the video at the front page today doesn't mention it why. So... here it is..
** I'm writing this from my SL partition (Lion partition on external disk, and not here at the moment), so I don't know exactly what the tooltip exactly. If someone wants to post a screenshot of the tooltip, please? Thanks.

Very nice. How heavy is it?
The zebrawood one weights about one kilo, funny thing is that my wife uses it for her documents when she goes to office. She does not have a macbook she uses..... well you now what OS i mean...:-) And i refuse to buld suitcases for windows laptops...:-)

This is crazy DO these people really think this would work? Myself I know they are only thinking of themselves or their church or people who think like them. They can't possibly want everyone to have this law.

You can't use a disk that came with another mac. You need to use a full retail version. Also you will need to do a clean install, you can't do an upgrade install coming from Tiger.

Unless being mobile is a necessity, go with the G5 iMac. The extra horsepower will pay off. The 17" screen also comes in handy when you start adding tracks.
I don't know about the tech spec. You should be able to find this info on Apple's web site.
As for speakers. I use JBL Creatures and have been very pleased with them. They come in white and silver, both of which would compliment the iMac.

Unreal 2004 struggles on my 2008 Macbook. I'm sure the current Macbook graphics are a step up, but not by much.

Someone was asking about scanner reviews - not too much that's current out there. Many reviews date from the late 90's!! I guess the push to digital cameras killed most of the market.

I should note that the 4000ED is my third generation dedicated 35mm scanner. I bought a first generation Nikon personal scanner back in 1993. Hard to get a good scan, as it's dynamic range was pretty bad. My second generation was a Polaroid Sprintscan from 1998. Much better, but single feed and still spotty with complicated slides. I bought the Nikon 4000 in 2003 and have been VERY happy with its performance.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for. I'm assuming that you have your own webhosting, your own domain, etc. and you want blogger to ftp out an index.html file?
If so, you just set up your blog with the option to "host on your own server." Then, after it's created, you hit it "Settings" tab in your blog panel. And then in that, you hit that "Publishing" tab. Put in your ftp server, path, and the filename you want it to publish to. Then, if you'd like for it to ftp each post without prompting you for your username and password each time, you can enter your ftp username and password under the query for blog filename and such.

Custom 10.6.5 made specifically for that model line. As far as I know, there are only 10.6.0 and 10.6.3 retail Snow Leopard disks.
